To clear the rush of passengers during Diwali, Chhat and
other festivals, Eastern Railway will run 124 trips of special trains in
November to popular destinations across the country.
In addition to this, extra coaches will be attached to
regular trains moving towards popular destinations.
Special care is being taken to ensure that these trains as
well as regular ones run smoothly and passengers do not suffer due to
congestion along the routes.
This created thousands of additional berths and seats to
facilitate a very large number of additional passengers.
Many people need to travel during the festive season. While
some are tourists, others return home from their places of work.
