Change in route at Jammu Railway Station

onset of monsoons has left thousands of passengers stranded at the Jammu Railway Station due to late arrival and late departure of the trains as well as cancellation of some of them. Due to the change in schedule and routes of over 50 trains, large number of passengers belonging to Northern states have no other
alternative but to spend their days and nights at the Jammu Railway Station and wait for things to get normal.
Havoc created by rains in the northern states and the flash floods have affected train timings due to which large number of passengers have been left standard at Jammu Tawi Railway Station for the last few days. Some of the trains have also been cancelled following damage to the tracks at several places but the lack of proper information and guidance at the Railway Station has created a chaotic situation among the passengers who have also been running out of their money.
The stranded passengers majority of whom belong to northern states including Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh are compelled to spend days and nights at the railway station but the lack of arrangements is also compounding their miseries.
